On this blog, you will learn all about Karina and her story. It is our sincere hope that you will click on the purple "Donate" above and contribute to the fund that has been established to finance her adoption. There are many families who can financially handle the day-to-day expenses of adding another child. However, they cannot afford the up to $30,000 it takes to adopt a child internationally (this includes agency fees, homestudies, US Government approvals and visa, travel, lodging, etc.). It is our hope that by providing funds to help defray these costs, we will be able to find a family to adopt Karina before her 16th birthday in May...as of her 16th birthday, she will become ineligible for international adoption and it will be soon after that she will be "on her own."
